When it comes to making a house feel like your own, nothing will say that more than bespoke lighting! It makes a huge difference and in my opinion sets your home apart from others. It sets the mood, shows off your style, and can even change how a room feels. After creating a few different designs I have now decided to begin helping others in and around Chilcompton & Radstock create bespoke lighting features using a mix of different fittings, hooks, and coloured flex cables. Better still, it will be designed and put together by myself and fully inspected and tested before installation! 

Also, personally, I think the old and traditional light bulb is back in vogue!!! While new light bulbs are now LED and energy saving… They look good and they’re romantic right!?! Spot lights, while brilliant and of course have their place, just don’t cut the mustard in terms of romance and looks…

Why use a Registered Electrician for Bespoke Lighting in Your Home, and why am I starting this up?

I’ve been called to install new lighting fixtures for customers who’ve wanted bespoke lighting features, however, on occasions the creator of these is clearly unaware of wiring regulations and general electrical safety i.e. metal parts of the fitting might not be earthed or there is inner insulation of cables on show meaning that basic and additional protection of electrical cables isn’t present - on these occasions I have unfortunately been unable to install these products. 

So, as an electrician who is fully registered for PAT Testing you can be sure that any new, and bespoke light I fit, is safe and up to standard!  

Not only this, but I will offer a FREE visual inspection of your current electrical installation to ensure the safe installation of any new light fitting.

What if you don't have Power or a Light Switch where you want your New Bespoke Light?

In some cases there won’t be any source or power available and so in this case a new electrical feed and light switch can be installed, however this would of course add additional costs - nothing is impossible and because I am a registered electrician this would be no problem at all!! Before going ahead with any work you will be provided with a full break-down of costs and how the work will be completed. Wireless switches and Smart Options for turning on and off your lights have come a long way too, and these options are also available to you!
